JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize market research and networking to prospect and develop new business opportunities and accounts

• Collaborate with prospects and customers to develop growth strategies for mutual benefit

• Deliver sales presentations to potential and existing customers

• Partner with clients to analyze menus and offer solutions to add value

• Use CRM tool and other computer software to maintain customer base

• Travel (local and nationwide) up to 60% of the time to meet customers, perform product presentations, attend trade shows, etc.

• Have an in-depth knowledge of all products and services offered

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality or Culinary Arts, or equivalent related experience

• 8-10 years prior Foodservice sales experience

• Experience using a CRM system to manage work flow

• Strong understanding of foodservice distribution segments

• Strong computer, communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally

• Demonstrated success in nurturing and developing Food Service business

• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

ARTISAN BREAD BAKERY PRODUCTION MANAGER (OVERNIGHT)

If you are an experienced Pastry Chef / Bakery Production Manager looking to join a growing local artisan bakery, this job may be an excellent fit for you!

We're recruiting a highly talented Artisan Bread Baker / Manager to lead a wholesale artisan bakery specializing in breads and patisserie. Our client is growing quickly and is looking for someone who can help the business grow to new heights.

First things first - to be considered for this position, we need you to have experience with:

• Preparing a variety of patisserie, artisan breads, and other dessert items in a high-volume production environment

• Managing high-volume production of scratch-made artisan breads like French bread, whole wheat bread, sourdough, rye bread, Italian bread, etc.

• Handling inventory and purchasing for things like flour, sugar, and other items used in the pastry department

• Ensuring quality and sanitation of material and equipment used in pastry making

• Guiding and motivating pastry assistants and bakers to work efficiently

• Identifying staffing needs and helping recruit and train talented bakers and pastry personnel

• Working with all types of pastry ingredients, including gluten free, sugar free, vegan, etc.

Candidates with a Culinary Degree or ACF apprenticeship are strongly preferred. Our client offers an extremely competitive salary ($70K-$80K) and benefits package.

CORPORATE CULINARY DIRECTOR - SENIOR LIVING  

If your New Year’s resolution was to find a career opportunity which allows a great work/life balance, this may be the job you’ve been waiting for! Schedule is typically Monday-Friday and will rarely demand late evenings or weekends.

We are seeking a Chef with senior living experience who has managed others including Chefs. The ideal candidate has directed food service operations in a large, upscale retirement facility or multiple properties and is a hands-on leader, willing to roll up his/her sleeves. This individual must have strong culinary and management skills and be capable of overseeing the dining activities of several facilities.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Hiring, training, supervising and mentoring Chef Managers
  • Meeting and developing relationships with building administrators, staff, residents and families
  • Implementing policies and procedures
  • Coordinating new menu and recipe development as needed
  • Creating and maintaining budget and handling all financial reporting
  • Monitoring and enforcing compliance with all regulations and procedures
  • Conducting site visits on a regular basis
  • Facilitating quality inspections

Previous experience as a Working Chef is essential for success in this role, as there will be times when it is necessary to cover for Chefs at the units. Culinary degree desirable in addition to 5+ years culinary management experience. SERV Safe Certification will be required. Must be willing to work varied hours as needed and be flexible to drive to varied locations within region.
