CHEF - PRODUCT SALES DIRECTOR

We are seeking a dynamic Chef with extensive sales experience and great interpersonal skills to represent a successful specialty food manufacturer with primary focus on restaurants. This individual will be responsible for identifying and working with Food Distributors and Food Brokers to market the product line and expand the base of business throughout the Midwest. The Chef will also play a key role in food demos and tastings for prospective and existing clients, new product development and other marketing efforts. Sales experience with a food manufacturer or distributor and culinary background required.

FOOD COMMISSARY MANAGER - DETROIT

  $55,000 - $65,000 plus excellent benefits and Monday-Friday day-time schedule

 Seeking a bulk foods production manager for a business dining commissary. The responsibilities of the position will include reading the day’s production list and organizing and assisting in the work flow, ensuring that quality produced is produced in accordance to the order and the recipe, and maintaining and clean work environment. The ideal applicant will have at least three years of experience in food production in a setting such as military, hospital, or other large scale production.

 Requirements:

  •  The ability to work Monday-Friday day shifts (some weekend days only when necessary)
  •  Strong attention to detail
  •  Knowledge of cost and labor systems
  •  The ability to oversee multiple projects
  •  ServSafe or HAACP Certification preferred (but training will be provided)
  •  Bakery experience is a plus

DIRECTOR OF FOOD SERVICE / EXECUTIVE CHEF - SUBURBAN DETROIT AREA

 Confidential search for an experienced Director of Food Service/Executive Chef to oversee the overall Food Service department of a luxury senior living facility (CCRC). This is a wonderful career opportunity to utilize management and culinary talents in an upscale environment. Will oversee and train staff but must also be willing to provide hands-on expertise. Schedule will involve rotating hours and weekends.

 We are seeking a candidate with a Culinary and/or related Bachelor’s degree plus at least five years of experience in a similar capacity to this role. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and/or Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP) credentials are preferred. ServSafe Manager and Michigan Allergen Certifications are required, along with a desire to maintain an immaculate and safe food service environment. Previous employment history must include a solid knowledge of all state regulations related to a CCRC and successful outcomes with the health department and state surveyors. The high standards of the facility necessitate a polished professional with excellent leadership and communication skills who excels at providing outstanding customer service. The Director must possess above average computer skills and be adept at writing procedure manuals, budgets, reports and other business correspondence.
