Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our upscale establishment. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and supervisors, to ensure exceptional service standards are consistently met
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize restaurant operations, enhance guest satisfaction, and maximize profitability
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness throughout the restaurant
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and vendor relations to ensure sufficient supply levels and cost-effective purchasing practices
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to uphold company policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed expectations and resolve issues effectively
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update menus, special promotions, and craft cocktail / beverage selections
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, such as sales reports, labor costs, and budget variances, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Promote the restaurant via social media and traditional marketing
  • Come up with creative ideas to attract new customers and bring back existing customers

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in an upscale or fine dining establishment
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, sanitation standards, and health regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and vendors
  • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of the business
  • ServSafe certification and/or other relevant industry certifications are a plus

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER - CASUAL DINING

We are looking for a well-rounded, enthusiastic Restaurant Assistant General Manager to join our award-winning team!

      • Ensure the venue runs according to established operating policies and procedures

STAFF ACCOUNTANT - TROY, MI HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY

Our client is a very successful full-service restaurant company that is moving into a beautiful new corporate office in Troy. The ideal candidate has an Accounting Degree, combined with a dynamic personality and great communication skills to facilitate conversations with key staff in the field.

Desire a competent, trustworthy Accountant to handle a wide variety of responsibilities. Will be involved with all closing processes and reconciliations (month-end, quarterly and annual).

The Staff Accountant will:

· Prepare general ledger reconciliations and month-end procedures

· Monitor bank reconciliations, third-party receivables, and weekly sales information

· Provide support with payroll processing, accounts payable, receivable

· Help supervise accounting policies and procedures along with internal controls

Requirements include:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

· At least two years of related experience

· Ability to prepare journal entries and statement of account reconciliations

· Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial reporting

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

· Previous experience with applying and maintaining strong internal controls

· Restaurant/Food Cost Accounting is advantageous but not mandatory
