 Harper Associates has been retained by Jiffy Foodservice to identify a star Foodservice Business Manager to help grow the restaurant/foodservice division in the east/northeast region! Candidates may be located in the Northeast US (ideally Connecticut to Maine) or closer to the home office in Chelsea, MI, and work on a hybrid office-based/remote model. Jiffy Foodservice recently completed a major expansion to accommodate the growing food service segment, and this is a great opportunity for a food service business veteran to help grow Jiffy's footprint!

Chelsea Milling Company has been Making Jiffy Mix since 1930 and has stood the test of time, never once having to lay off employees due to an economic downturn. The leader in prepared baking mixes, Jiffy has dominated the grocery/retail market, and the company is now offering Jiffy Mix to the food service and restaurant business! The Foodservice Business Manager position is newly created and offers the right person an amazing opportunity to make a huge impact on the growth of this newly created division!

  •  Utilize market research and networking to prospect and develop new business opportunities and accounts
  •  Use CRM tools, Trade Fund Management software, and other computer software to maintain a customer base
  •  New Customer development and cold calling experience at the Operator level are strongly desired – a “Hunter” mentality
  •  Collaborate with prospects and customers to develop growth strategies for mutual benefit
  •  Preference is given to direct Operator development experience over Distributor development experience
  •  Deliver sales presentations to potential and existing customers
  •  Partner with clients to analyze menus and offer solutions to add value
  •  Travel (local and nationwide) up to 60% of the time to meet with prospected and existing customers, perform product presentations, attend trade shows, etc.
  •  Have an in-depth knowledge of all products and services offered


  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality or Culinary Arts, or equivalent related experience
  •  8-10 years prior Foodservice sales experience with a food manufacturer, selling dry baking mix or dry grocery items directly to operators
  •  Broad experience selling in the National, Health Care, College and University, and Street segments preferred
  •  Experience using a CRM system and Trade Fund Management software to manage workflows
  •  Strong computer, communication, and presentation skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally
  •  Demonstrated success in nurturing, developing, and cold-calling foodservice business
  •  Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  •   Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

We're recruiting a highly talented Artisan Bread Baker with strong management experience in a high-volume bakery to lead a wholesale and retail bakery with 5 locations, specializing in bread, pastries, and pizza. Our client is growing quickly and is looking for someone who can help the business grow to new heights. Must have a complete understanding of scratch-made dessert recipes and processes as well as bread starters and fermentation.

Required Experience:

  • Managing high-volume production of scratch-made artisan bread like French bread, whole wheat bread, sourdough, rye bread, Italian bread, etc. in a non-fully-automated bakery
  • Overseeing a 24/7 operation
  • Handling inventory and purchasing for flour, sugar, and other items used in the pastry department
  • Ensuring quality and sanitation of material and equipment used in pastry making
  • Training and developing production staff
  • Identifying staffing needs and helping recruit and train talented bakers and pastry personnel
  •  Effectively communicating with all teams, including production, retail, and executive teams
  • New product development

Candidates with a Culinary Degree or ACF apprenticeship are strongly preferred. Exceptional six-figure salary offered. Relocation package for the right candidate.
